To remove rust stains from clothes, pour a small amount of lemon juice to cover the stain. Then cover that with salt. Hold it over the steam of a boiling kettle or pot of water and watch the stain go before your eyes.
Using a magic eraser to clean the tub takes a lot of the elbow work out of removing the residue. Magic Erasers are perfect for almost all household scrubbing, but I have found them particularly helpful when trying to get water spot, residue or rust stains removed from the tub/shower.
Most grocery stores and/or Target/Wal-Mart carry the name brand Magic Erasers in the cleaning aisle, and they also carry the off-brand which works just as good!
1.Clean sink drains. Pour salt mixed with hot water down the kitchen sink regularly to deodorize & keep grease from building up. 2.Clean stained cups. Mix salt with a dab of dish soap to make a soft scrub for stubborn coffee & tea stains. Clean rust. Mix salt & cream of tartar with just enough water to make a paste. Rub on rust, let dry, brush off & buff with a dry, soft cloth. You can also use the same method with a mix of salt & lemon. 432
