If you're a foodie like me, don't watch any cooking shows on tv, as they only make you hungry. Watch the learning channel or home and garden tv instead. This way you're not thinking about making that potato salad, but how to clear clutter out of your family room, etc..

I remember going to the gym and the person ahead of me had the food channel on and they were always cooking something high in calories. Finally had to find a different time to go.

That's a hard thing for me because I love watching Food Network! Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives is one of my favorites! He munches on some tasty looking food and he's a cutie too so I have to watch! LOL

Must Work Out TV
Like most people, I have my favorite TV shows. Last year I made a list of shows that I'd like to watch (either in real time or on TiVo). I made them "Must Work Out" TV shows. I hung the list next to my TV. If I found myself watching one of my "favorites" I had to have worked out that day, or I had to get up and work out WHILE the show was on. Great way to work out regularly and reward myself for working out!
I enjoy watching T.V. and usually rather watch a show than exercise for an hour. However if you can do crunches, jump rope, bicep curls and stretching during commercials. A different exercise for each commercial break as many set you can do while staying in proper form. You won't miss your shows and you won't feel the agony of exercising you just got in! And no guilt for watching T.V.! 211
