Be honest with yourself about what you eat. The only person you are hurting by not be honest as well as accurate, is yourself. You may go over your calories for that day, but at least you'll know where the problem was, what it was, and you'll be better prepared for the next time. Don't hinder your own success because of inaccuracy.
I am moving and have used this practice everytime I have done so. I make a schedule of what is to be done each day in order to reach my target move date. If something happens to hinder my progress, illness or emergency, I pick back up on the next day and try to include something extra to keep me from getting too far behind. I also made a cleaning schedule for the new house to hold myself accountable each day.
Seeing what I am supposed to do is like having the gold star sheet in school. I feel bad if I do not complete what I had scheduled. I reward myself if I do well. Maybe I can place a sticker on the calendar each day I meet my goal......
