My husband and I have decided to be healthier, we have always loved to go out and eat together, but that gets so expensive and we packed on too many pounds! We realized that we celebrate everything with food. So instead of going out to eat look at other things you can do together. We so far have come up with bowling, mini golf, bike rides, apple picking, going to the farmers market, swimming at the Y, walking by the river, shopping, taking a class, playing games.

Whenever I sign up for a running event or triathlon, it helps me stay accountable to working out. If I have a due date, I have the extra drive to stay healthy, work out consistently, and stay committed to my goal of being active while having fun!
if you're trying something new it helps to find literature and support groups for your goal. A great example is the Couch to 5k group for those starting out their running journeys!
