Very encouraging idea! As a matter of fact the typical exercise routine may become boring. Therefore, once it starts to cool down for the Fall into the Winter, start stepping with Wii or the new Xbox Dance Dance Revolution.

I use to love to dance and would find myself moved by music. However, I have become so immobile that I had forgotten about how in shape I was when I was dancing not to mention how happy and free I felt. Thanks for the reminder it seems like I finally have something to get me off my behind.

I also love to dance. I did it a few weeks ago at a dinnner and was sick for 3 days with body pain. I had not danced like that for 17 years...ugh but it was worth it.

I completely agree with that! There are times I just stand in the living room and dance to SIRUS radio! You can burn quite a few calories and its not the standard work out! Great suggestion.

Dance the night away! I went to a birthday party with a DJ Saturday night and ACTUALLY danced, danced, danced! More fun than my traditional exercise routine and felt great afterward!
I like to get moving when I clean and organize the house. If sweeping isn't enough movement for you, then use the broom to do a few exercises and dance dance dance with your vacuum! Not to mention, moving around big boxes or tubs for some reorganizing can really act as some good strength exercises.
MORE INFORMATION:
Don't forget putting away groceries. Bring each bag in one by one for additional exercise. Do some arm curls with the cans as you put them away...get creative. There are lots of things you can do!!
It's hard to make yourself do things you don't want to do- so don't! There has to be something you're excited about- do that. It still counts if you're having fun. If you're not sure, that means you get to try everything. Try a crazy belly dancing dvd, or play Dance Dance Revolution with your kids. Just have fun!
