I replaced my Microwave recently with a new one which also doubles as a Convection Oven for Baking and Roasting Foods. The person who came over to demonstrate the usage of this gave me a good tip.It seems that we consume less Electricity while Microwaving if we keep the Dish on the edge of the Turn Table as it catches the maximum Rays there and heats up faster. The Centre of the Turn Table is the coolest spot in a Microwave!!!I've followed these Instructions since and found that it really works!!

Use the Microwave
Use the microwave for more than making popcorn and warming coffee! Cooking with your microwave is fast, healthy and keeps the heat down in the kitchen during the summer.
Despite what you may think, you don't have to use processed foods, either. I've made whole grains like brown rice and regular oatmeal, quick eggs for breakfast sandwiches, toasted nuts, melted dark chocolate for dipping fruit, baked apples and potatoes, and steamed spaghetti squash in minutes, all thanks to my microwave.
