Whenever I am craving sweet or wanting to eat something I shouldn't... I go in my kitchen and set the timer for 10 min. By the time it dings and time is up.. I am usually so busy with something else that I totally forgot what I was craving. This has saved me many splurges!

Chores + kitcken timer = sneaky way to get exercise
Sneak those pounds away - set your kitchen timer.....20 minutes, and hour....whatever time you have....and work like a whirlwind.....straightening, wiping, folding, vacuuming. The object is to not sit down and keep moving. When the timer goes off.....you have a cleaner place AND you did a mini work out. PLUS, setting the timer breaks both the chore and the exercise down to something that seems more manageable. Bonus!
When I find I have tons to do and can't figure out where to start at home, I grab my handy kitchen timer (or use the timer on my cell phone) and clean in each room for 10 minutes. You would be amazed by how much you accomplish! Take a 10 minute (timed!) break after 30 minutes or so and keep going.
Once you get through all your rooms you will feel like things are under control and you can tackle more intricate projects.
