I am fortunate to have time for myself on a regular basis. In this part of my life, I really do not have to plan for it, because it is just about always available. I realize that I am unusually fortunate in this area. And very grateful to God!

One way to help avoid being discouraged when you slide off course a bit, is to write yourself a healthy lifestyle resume! What skills have you developed (making a well developed workout routine, making solid meal plans, etc), what are some of your past successes (lost 15 lbs, ran a 5k, motivated a friend to exercise), and what new skills do you hope to develop. Even if you aren't quite on track, you are still developing the skills that you need to get there!
When you get off track, you tend to feel like one little slip up has ruined everything so you throw your whole program out the window. Remember that you are not starting from scratch!
