After all the years trying to lose weight, I have finally achieved my goals. One way I have been successful is that I don't deny myself my guilty pleasures. I make sure they fit into my calorie goals for the day but I still eat them. I make sure that all my other meals are healthier choices.

we often seek motivation from fast temporary sources neglecting our long term goals, start seeking pleasure by seeing yourself in that pair of jeans that you have always wanted 2 wear, your guilty pleasure of turning heads as you walk by, imagine being able 2 try on anything in that, clothing store, being able to cross your legs easily, knowing the only lumps in your pants are because you have something in your pocket, being able to put your hands on your waist because you have one!
I have found that exercising makes me feel so good. Being a Mom I always put everyones needs above my own, but exercise is my time. Just giving something to myself is rewarding. I find myself wishing I could devote more time to me. It is liberating and a very non-guilty pleasure!
Guilty pleasures don't have to cost you calories! I'm in Iraq, work out alone in my quarters and use Pandora.com which allows me to "create" my own radio station that streams through my laptop. My go-to workout station at age 39? "Britney Spears Radio" Turns out that randomly selected songs from various pop princesses are super-workout friendly and oddly empowering. No one but me (and now YOU!) has any idea of my secret indulgence...shhhh!334
PS - I also destress by singing along to "Barry Manilow Radio" and relax to "Josh Grobin Radio"...
