Add a cup of Baking Soda to you washing machine when doing laundry. This will really get the dirt out & actually makes your clothes softer.

Also add Vinegar to the Downey ball instead of liquid fabric softener. This rinses your clothes clean and is a natural fabric softener for the dryer.

Two VERY cheap alternatives that really work! Oh, and because of the Vinegar, if you forget your load of laundry in the machine all day...you won't get that mildew smell. That's a bonus!

  • OCTOBERSHINE...I usually fill it to the line if it's a small-med size load. If it's large or I'm washing something like blankets or towels...I put a little bit more.
