I use the "reverse search" on the internet with the person's yard sale address to call them and ask if they have items I'm interested in buying. This saves time and gas going to sales I won't find anything at that I want, & it gets me early to sales where I am interested.
This especially helps to find if they have sizes I'm interested in.

Vintage planters with figurines make handy holders for desk items like pens/pencils, scissors, and letter holders. These old ceramic collectables from the 40's and 50's are the perfect place to hold reading eyeglasses. I keep a lamb on my kitchen counter, a guy with a bowling ball on my desk, and girl with a flounced skirt and parasol on my bedside table.
Find vintage planters at thrift shops and yard sales.
I like to read spark e-mails from the start page, rather than get them e-mailed to me. It goes a lot quicker than clicking on e-mail and then clicking to the article. You go to the part on start where you manage e-mails and can see the place where it says read me now.
