Rather than buy processed antibiotic and hormone filled chicken nuggets for your kids, make them and freeze them. I dip organic chicken pieces in egg, then in panko bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese and some pountry season and lightly fry in coconut oil - full of nutrition and my kids love them!

I had a really hard time with giving up some of my favorite treats, so I found healthier substitutions for them. Instead of having ice cream, I have a Diana's banana baby - a frozen half banana dipped in chocolate (130 calories). The banana tastes rich and creamy when frozen while the little bit of chocolate makes me feel as if I'm not depriving myself.

I also had a weakness for candy bars. Now I have a Slimfast peanut butter crunch snack bar instead (100 calories). Other faves: Progresso light chicken and dumpling soup instead of homemade chicken and dumplings, Green Giant broccoli and cheese microwave steamers instead of mac and cheese.

I like my food to remember where it came from. Boneless chicken breasts know they came from a chicken. Breaded chicken nuggets, not so much. The less processed, the better Tastier too!
