To cut back on carbs in the summer, I use zucchini sliced the long way. Put in sandwich fillings like tuna or roast turkey slices, I just pick it up as if it was bread. I discovered that when i was told I was allergic to wheat. I used it as bread for sandwiches but it does reduce carbs too. Iceberg lettuce leaves or Bibb lettuce makes a great wrap too. Even for hamburgers ot hot dogs.243
I mixed mustard into low fat Greek yogurt to eat along with meat, sandwiches and wraps. To replace thousand island dressing, I mixed half a teaspoon of ketchup into yogurt. When eating seafood, I mixed a little wasabi into 2 tablespoon of Greek yogurt and use as sauce. It helps me to increase my protein intake while reducing carbs and fats.

Foods either increase inflammation or reduce it. One of the difficulties of staying on a anti-inflammatory diet is snacks. Fruits are the best snack to reduce inflammation. Eat less red meat and more chicken, fish, turkey, flaxseed, wheat germ, walnuts & sunflower seeds. Stop the refined carbs and see how much better you feel! Remember 4 walnuts a day are good for your heart!
