I find it very helpful to always carry a tote bag with me that has apples, nuts, string cheese, yogurt (if I can keep it cool). I never leave the house without it and even take it to family and friend's houses when I visit. It helps me stick to eating what is right if I get hungry away from home.

Get all of the unhealthy food out of your house, and don't let anyone bring it in. Portion control is so much harder when the rest of your favourite chocolate bar is right there. Treats are great, but save them for when you're eating away from home and can give the rest of something to a friend or co-worker. If all you have in the house is healthy food, your boredom eating will stop ruining your diet.
