Think your child is too small to exercise with you? I walk or run after my 4 y/o as he rides his bike ahead of me. I have him stop at every intersection so I can catch up. It keeps my pace up, helps me to keep an eye on him, and encourages family exercise. He is always shouting, "Run Mom!" when I slow down, so it's like having a free personal trainer!

When walking or jogging try a change of scenery instead of making the loops through your neighborhood. Take your kids out with you and make it a family outing so that they learn to have fun while being fit.312217

Riding my bike to work really helps me get my exercise in. I was going to spend time commuting anyway, so combining it with exercise makes better use of my time. I'm also more motivated to ride if I have to ride to get home.
