Living as a Diabetic has made me aware of my Limitations----specially in Food.I find that by Tracking my entirFood on the Recipe Calculator I'm learning to eat healthier while also enjoying it in moderation.If eating a heavy Meal---at home or out---I track every Ingredient on the Menu in the Recipe Calculator.I find out the total Calories of the entire Meal this way---this helps me to decide the things to eat or to avoid and the Portion sizes too!!This way I can have my Cake and eat it too!!

i also have diabetes but now off meds after a year of walking, drinking water, logging ALL my food intake and giving up white bread and potatoes. i have lost some weight,also! i now munch on veggies, fruit and i eat lots of yogurt and oatmeal!

its about carbs and controlling food intake and doing some sort of exercise daily~even if only for 15-20 minutes; VERY IMPORTANT. there are things you have to give up; but what you gain back is so worth it!
