I recently realized that I've spent a lot more time FRETTING about my weight than actually taking the steps to do something about it. To get out of the fret cycle, I've focused on taking it one day & one meal at a time and told myself "You can do this" at each meal. I take a few moments to figure out the meal and calculate calories in my mind. I've eaten more slowly to savor what I chose. Most shockingly of all--I've left food on my plate. When I track it, I confirm: I can do this.

    Great suggestion. I think getting through the first day is a big hurdle. I hope you are doing well. I just started again for about the 59th time, and am only now realizing how important planning and portion control are. Weight is finally coming off. Good luck to you.
