I weigh myself every day...that way if a couple of pounds have snuck onto my hips, I can get them under control. I think it is easier to loose 2lbs than 10lbs!

    Weighing yourself every day is NOT healthy. The fluxuations can be extremely demotivating. There are 3500 calories to a single pound of fat. If you burned that many calories in a single day, you need to make sure you're consuming the right amount of calories to balance that intensity of physical activity. If you ate that many calories in a single day, it doesn't mean it's going to show up on your scale the next day either.

Weighing yourself weekly is a better way to go but even so, you're not just weighing "fat" on your scale...even one with BMI calculators on it.

I would highly discourage you from weighing yourself every day unless directed by your doctor. And if your doctor does recommend this...get a new doctor!!

    I agree with you! I weigh every nmorning & then I know what I can afford or NOT afford to do! If I waited a month, I'd be afraid I may have gotten off track more than I realized. But it's whatever works for you in the end...

    I think steeping on the scale more than once a week can be very discouraging especially when you haven't lost any pounds. I weight myself once a month. This motivates me to stay on track and I have something to look forward to.
