This secret got me through cancer and many other challenges of life. I tend to want to 'fix' everything at once. Baby steps allow me the time to look a bit further afield and check out the lay of the land. This is truly a great secret!

No Big Goals Too Fast!
Failing to make 10,000 steps a day was a bit discouraging until I realized that I hadn't attained a smaller goal of 5,000 steps. I reset my pedometer from 10,000 to 5,000 and four days after reaching 5,000 steps consecutively, I hit 10,000!!! Bottom line is: I try not to make my goals unattainable.
MORE INFORMATION:
A pedometer is all that's necessary here, and remembering that if giant steps aren't working, there's always the baby steps to fall back on!
Pick an goal & then break it down into baby steps!! Now start with the first baby step....when you have mastered that step & it is a habit for you, take the next baby step.....and so on!!!! You will have achieved your goal & developed healthier habits in the process.....one baby step at a time!!!!
We can't plan everything in our lives, but today was a classic example of why I need to continue with baby steps. I woke up exhausted, totally stressed with all that's going on right now, and managed to do a few necessary baby steps before heading off to work. I came home with a crippling migraine and cannot describe how good it feels to at least have accomplished those baby steps today! I'm still winning, even if it doesn't feel like it! Woohoo! 185
