While some argue that cash gives them a physical account of what they are spending rather than using a debit card, I rely heavily on my debit card and rarely if ever have cash on me. Which has save me hundreds of dollars as there are a lot of impulse purchase places that only accept cash, like ice cream stands (my weakness!).
