I make a menu for the week. This has helped when doing grocery shopping and during food prep time. I have found that there's some "down time" when fixing dinner so I will do some prep work on the next night's meal. This has cut down on time in the kitchen, which means more time some where else.
On grocery day, I do the prep work for the week. Chop onions, cut up veggies for snacks, weigh portions, cut up fruit , etc. I put these items in containers and have them handy when it is meal time. Makes it easier to prepare meals and keeps me from eating the wrong thing at the wrong time.
