Again, this is a no brainer, but for those like myself, who want to deny the obvious...I get much closer to my dietary goals when I enter my food in the food tracker before I eat it. I think it's called planning.

It is a no brainer, but it's easy & familaiar to just muddle through the day. Then when I get to dinner I toooften find I don't have enough calories left for a satisfyiong meal.

This sounds so much like my track record-keeping. I also seek to read some of the articles because it keeps me focus on how I approach food instead of being an aimless eater.

I thought I was the only one that put my food in BEFORE I eat it. It does help me not eat another helping. I sometimes have to go in and remove a food, because I was too full to actually eat it.

I've found that checking serving size is so important when reading labels and using the food tracker. I've had problems getting some of my recipes in the right serving size for the food tracker. Any body got any insight on using sparkpeople and figuring out serving size? Thanks
When using the food tracker and inputting restaurant food use just the restaurant name Mcdonald's or Dominos and most of the menu will pop up, then use the items that pop up.
I keep measuring cups, measuring spoons, etc., in a bowl in on my countertop. This makes it easy for me to find the measurer I want, without digging through drawers or dish drainers for them. It makes meal and snack prep much faster for me. A food scale in a handy spot also helps!
