I am a slow walker because walking makes my heels sore. For motivation, I looked up how many calories slow walking burns per minute and found out it's 4-5 calories depending on size and speed. That's the same amount of calories as 1 gram of carbs! So it helps me to think, as the minutes of walking add up, that every minute I stroll along, I am demolishing the calories in 1 carb and leaving only its energy and nourishment. An hour's slow stroll demolishes 60 carbs!

No wonder walking is so good for controlling diabetes! You could also say 2 minutes of walking demolishes more than 1 gram of fat--now, that feels good, too. If you are a fast walker, you are doing even better.

    how can you demolish calories and keep energy? calories is a way to measure energy. if you're burning calories you're using energy
