well i am doing really well with my run/walk routine a good way to keep up with yourself is to set goals or rather identify a landmark along the way for example i always tell myself you can't stop jogging until you reach that bench or that post or if i do stop i always set a mental goal like hey your gonna start running when you get to that bench. I also always set goals to pass the person in front of me so it makes me move faster!!! I am so proud of me i'll be running non-stop in no time!9
Making goals that are too far out of reach can be debilitating. It is fine to have a long term goal, but create intermediate goals along the path to reaching that long term goal. If your goal is to walk/run a 5K, pick a time to accomplish 1K, and a time to accomplish 2K, and 3K, and 4K. Then it is just a step to reach the 5K goal. I am approaching my 4K goal ahead of schedule.
