Take 5 minutes, every day, to look at yourself in the mirror. Don't pick at your flaws or put yourself down, just look at your features and find those things about your body that you love. Tell yourself that you are getting stronger every day and that you are choosing to live a healthier lifestyle and that you and your body should be appreciated and complimented for all the efforts you are putting forth. Love yourself for who you are, right now, without exception. You deserve it!
ok you joined spark for a reason...Have you looked in the mirror lately? If so, have/are you making progress? If not, this is your body, your life, and your image! If you are pleased with your accomplishments then congratulations!!!!!!!! If not, work harder, have faith, and believe in yourself! Then lastly, "Look in the MIRROR"
Instead of letting media images of fit and fabulous women demotivate me, I decided to turn that on its head and use those images as a light to run towards. There is a particular actress who, whenever I see her, I think looks amazing. Her body is fit, toned and fabulous. So I took a screen grab of her in a bikini and posted it as one of my images. Since posting, I look at this image at least once a day and remind myself that this is the body I'm working towards.
Its especially helpful to peek at whenever I THINK I want to have a snack. One look at that photo and I realize that a glass of water will do me just fine! This way I'm winning in two ways, 1) I'm heading towards that bikini bod; and 2) I didn't give in to the sneaky snack temptation! 104
