For me I am just finding that when I am in that negativity I just want to keep everything in that mode: work, home, etc. Since I have been staying out of that place I am sailing thru other situations.

You are so right. Negative comments can sabotage not only weight loss but so much more. Watch out for our own negative self-talk, too.

I had people in my life who complained from the moment they got up in the morning until they went to bed at night. Being surrounded by all this negativity added to my stress and a result was that I ate more. Not wanting to be like them caused me to change my ways and become a more positive person.

Not only when trying to lose weight but with life all together. I keep negativity at bay all the time. If you are not helping then your hurting and I have no time in my life for hurt.

Oh my gosh! I'm with you on this secret!! I have friends who always (and I mean always) talk about all the bad food choices they make throughout the day, and then are upset when I haven't made the same bad choices - I have had to steer clear, but it makes me sad because these are people I really like
