Try to avoid refined foods. Shop the fresh parameters of the grocery store. The freshest foods are all around the outside of the store. There are very few things that you need to eat in the inner isles.

I NEVER liked veggies. I learned that they like me. Eating more vegetables made me FEEL better - the weight loss was just icing on the cake. Veggies fill you up, give your body what it needs, fiber, vitamins. Eating less processed foods makes you feel lighter, less sluggish.
Eat veggies or fruit with every meal. Make vegetables the bulk of your diet, you get more volume wise while consuming less calories. Try new veggies, experiment with new recipes (right here on Sparks). It's win-win cycle, eat better feel better and you'll let go of the junk food that wears you down.
Now is the time I must put my big girl undies on and just do this. I can't act like a kid who wants every poor food choice out there. That attitude will not get me to a healthier place. I'm not a kid. I'm a grown up who has all the information and tools I need to make this happen. It's time I start acting like it.
Eating 5-6 meals a day; getting adequate sleep, eating veggies and fruits daily and healthy food choices at every meal and snack, working out 4-6 days a week, staying organize, shopping adequately, journaling, let others know what I working towards and staying busy on SparkPeople!
