I met with a Dietitian and she got me going on the right track, not only for weight loss, but for motivation and overall heart health! I would recommend to all for that little extra boost! 244
My dietitian is REALLY against artificial sweeteners like Splenda and such but she isn't against Stevia!
Stevia is a natural sweetner - fairly new to the market - and still being researched... I will pass on this website which give information on both sides - the good and the bad (which isn't much)... http://www.steviasideeffects.org/
Knowing that you have diabetes is one thing, but accepting and working through the times of denial is another. It is very important that you talk with your physician as well as your dietitian and learn all about diabetes and how it will affect you.
Read articles and books on the subject to educate yourself. Knowledge in this case really is power. Continuing to deny that you have the disease will harm you in the long run and the sooner you can come to grips with it and accept it, the better off you will be.
