Ground Beef

Cooking and substituting ground beef. Ground turkey is a lower calorie and fat substitute for ground beef and, even if you love the beef favor, it can be used for Spaghetti, Lasagna, and other casseroles. In addition, it is much cheaper!

When you do buy ground beef, you can ask to have the beef ground from a steak for safer beef. The cheaper cuts of beef work fine.

A related tip - the vegetarian fake ground beef is even lower-fat, lower-calorie, and I can't tell the difference in a taco or a pasta dish.

So do I! Nobody in my family seems to notice a difference.

I now use ground turkey in EVERYTHING! I rarely cook with ground beef anymore.
