My teen has decided to take her lunch to school this year but didn't want to carry a huge lunch box to hold a freezer block so we now freeze a yogurt (she likes the whips) and that keeps her lunch cold until lunchtime as well as gives her a healthy 'treat'.

I pack my lunch to take to work every day. I have my mini frozen meals in the freezer. They are really just leftovers from the nutritious meals I have cooked at home. This week I ate fiesta soup, black beans & rice and lasagna casserole. I pack some veggies, a piece of fruit, and a treat to go with my entree. The treat could be a few animal crackers or a cup of low cal pudding, etc. Usually about 350-450 calories for lunch for me.
I have an insulated lunch bag and the frozen entree keeps the rest of my lunch cold til noon.
I have a 44 ounce insulated mini cooler. First thing in the morning I fill it up with water and lots of iceand then again after lunch. It keeps the water cold and is more convienent than running upstairs 8-10 times a day! Makes sure I get my water in and keeps it cold all day!
