I suggest if you are just getting started on an exercise plan for the first time in ages... 1) make sure you have clearance from your doctor. 2) walking is your best choice (slow and easy). 3) cut down on you portion size. 4) lots and lots of water 5) most important to me? Is get plenty of sleep...
go on Spark people and really educate yourself... it works! The weight comes off and stays off...I am proof! I feel better than I ever have!
If you find yourself at a plateau like I did for several months... and I will say I was working out really hard... I figured out that if I mix up my workouts I started losing... I did Turbo Jam one day, Biggest Loser the next, Walk a Home the next, Tae Bo the next....this way you surprise your body.
I always take Sunday as a rest day. Get plenty of sleep. Eat right. Mostly stay hydrated... I feel better than I ever have in my whole life....
