I buy the huge pkg of coffee filters at Sam's club and use them for more than coffee....they make a good cover in the microwave to prevent spatter, crumpled up the spread oil on cookie sheets or pans and on my kitchen scale they make a good receptical for measuring/weighing things.

I have used them to put between plates when packing or storing china to prevent scratching and breakage; I also use them sometimes to clean mirrors--no streaks or lint left behind!!!

They are great for straining vegetable broth and soy milk too.

I also use coffee filters for more than what they were intended for, when my grandson comes over and wants his apple sliced up i put the slices in a coffee filter or when he wants some chips i give him his portion in the filter, it easy enough for him to carry.

Wow, who knew they had so many uses? Aside from coffee, we only use them to strain used cooking oil. Cleans it up nicely for reuse.
