Secrets of Success

Batch Cooking

I pick a number of recipes (usually entrees) to prepare over the weekend. After cooking, I immediately portion according to the recipe. This allows me to not worry about what I need to fix for lunch and dinner - it's already done and all I need to do is heat and eat! emoticon emoticon

  • Great idea, I really like this one. Give us examples. - by DIEGOGAL
  • I'm usually making some kind of a casserole dish. Most are with pasta and gr turkey. I'll also get the crockpots going with several dishes too (usually chicken). I do a 3-bean casserole with pork and beans and 2 other kinds of beans that is good either warmed up or cold. I'm always looking for recipes that might work. I'd like to find something that would incorporate more veggies but those may have to stay as a fix-it-at-the-time item. Hope this helps! - by NETTER61
  • I love this idea...what type of foods do you make with your "batch cooking"? - by SCJENN
