I used to have trouble working strength training into my schedule. When making tea, I used to put the water on, go sit down and wait for the water to boil, get up, pour the water into the teapot, set the timer, go sit down and wait for the tea to brew. Now, instead of sitting down, I perform strength training exercises while making tea - wall pushups, lunges, etc... Making 2 cups of tea a day can help me get up to 20 minutes of strength training. 344
Whenever I buy crackers, pretzel sticks, nuts, dried fruits or any other snack item, I make a point of counting or measuring portion sizes into snack baggies. Then I place the baggies into the empty bag or box and keep them in my pantry. That way, when I want a snack, I just grab a baggy and know I will be eating exactly the right portion. It also comes in handy when I am running out the door and want to grab some snacks to take with me. I re-use baggies from crackers and pretzels to be "green".
