Make A Weekly Visit To Your Local Farmer'S Market!

Visiting the Farmer's Market is a great thing. All the produce is super fresh and local, and you're likely to find goodies you've never tried before. The growers always have recipes and ideas for what they grow - as well as samples! Another plus? You get to meet lots of neighbors.
Our market has even started carrying local chicken, eggs, beef, lamb, & honey. The walk around the market is good exercise, as is carrying that big bag of farm-fresh produce!

I visit the local Farmer's Market once a week. I plan our family meals around the vegetables and fruits that are in season. Local produce is a wonderful way to enhance our famliy's dinner time. There is always something new to eat. This week it was fresh spinach salads and strawberries.
Join a community supported agricultural group, or Use your local farmers market. In a CSA you buy a share in what the farmer produces, and you get a box of veg weekly. Eat more local fruits and veg, and stop eating so much processed foods. I think this is a good way to be healthier.
