When out walking in your neighborhood, don't cut corners when turning at intersections. I found myself 'rounding the corners' when I turned to go in a new direction. I decided to try walking straight to the corner then sharply turning onto the next street....the difference for me was 10 extra steps! I walk all over my house, taking as many turns as possible to add up to more steps. I go into every room, walking around every bit of the floor. I go outside and walk in my big yard, going into every path and corner. While I walk around I stop to exercise my waist and my arms. I breathe deeply and I open my eyes wide and look at my home. 49
