    Sometimes I can't use the food tracker so I use a small spiral pad and write down everything as if I were on-line and it keeps me HONEST.

    Use the food tracker at the beginning of the day to plan meals. You know, ahead of time, what you can "afford" to eat for snacks.

    The food tracker really works. When I initially began Spark People, I used the food tracker and this helped me monitor my caloric intake. After a while, eating right became natural. Whenever I thought I may be ruining my efforts or when I needed to see that I was on the right track, the food tracker was my first resource.
