If you spend that extra time to log your recipes on SparkRecipes, it will pay off big time in the long run! I make my own bread. I took the time to put the recipe on SparkRecipes and then weighed my entire clump of dough and put 128 oz in total servings. [see below]
Now when I have a piece of my whole grain bread, I go to my SparkRecipe and insert the oz. and add it to my nutrition tracker. It's a lot of work initially, but once it's done, you'll never have to do it again! I LOVE this tool and I ABSOLUTELY love SparkPeople!!!!
My mother was a good cook, but never changed a recipe. Instead of just following a recipe, don't be afraid to make it your own. I often change recipes to suit my tastes or make them healthier. The resut is some great recipes that are good for me. It is OK to play with your food!
