I've seen too many secrets of success telling you to cut things out "no sweet drinks" "nix the butter" "never eat anything fried" These are all what I call NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENTS. Why would I WANT to diet if it means I have to compeltely QUIT something I love? Its the basic forbidden fruit/over indulgence fact of life. We want what we can't have, and once we break down and taste the forbidden fruit, we can't stop.
Have a strictly vegetarian day, and reward yourself with something like fried chicken the next day.The idea is, eat ONE piece of fried chicken as a reward, it will keep you from HATING the diet. It makes fried chicken something to look forward too instead of longing for and regretting later!
I love these easy roasted chickens. For $5-8 dollars I can make several different meals. (1) Eating the leg&thigh portion right away w/some sides. (2) Making bowls of chicken noodle soup (usually freezing half for later in the month) with the carcass and some of the breast meat. (3) The remaining
chicken meat I can toss w/some BBQ sauce and have "pulled BBQ chicken" buns. Or chicken soft tacos w/some taco seasoning. Or chicken to top a salad. You get the point... I used to roast my own chicken but for another dollar or two I can save an hour of cooking....
I have a HealthZone grill (think Foreman "Wannabe" Grill) and they are awful to clean! I wrapped a piece of frozen salmon (works with Tilapia too) in foil and placed it in the heated up grill and cooked 5 minutes - then flipped the package and cooked another 5 minutes. Moist and delicious! No mess!
Try with chicken, beef and/or pork too! 4
