A Biotin deficiency causes hair loss and scaly skin. Good sources of biotin are:
Beans
Brown Rice
Shellfish and Sardines
Dark, green vegetables
Whole grains

MORE INFORMATION:
Please note – biotin cannot ‘cure’ baldness, but will prevent those bad hair days. Ingesting raw egg whites wipes out your biotin supply. Avoid eggnog, Ceasar salad and home-made mayo. Best to eat cooked eggs.

    I heard that you must buy shampoo with added biotin to help with hair loss.

    You know, since I started Sparking, I (and my hairdresser) have noticed a definite improvement on my hair (there's hair problems on one side of the family). Now I know why :)))
