I hate water, but I love my family. I've got a 32 oz. Breast Cancer Awareness mug that I use everyday. I have an aunt who is in remission, and every day I tell myself to drink 64 oz. of water to stay healthy. 32 oz I drink for me, and 32oz is for her. That's my eight cups of water a day, cheers!
Water keeps me away from soda. I used to drink ~ 10 cans a day. My teeth felt grimy, it slowed me down, & I craved sweets unlike ANY OTHER. When I bought my mug I decided it had to inspire me to keep form the sweets. When Breast Cancer Awareness month came & I saw the mug, I knew it would work.
I'm on a salt- and water-loading diet for a rare disease I have, and need to get in 4 Liters of fluids a day. I have large 32 oz. mugs that make perfect drinking cups to trick me into drinking enough each day. Somehow 4 of those doesn't seem NEARLY as daunting as SIXTEEN 8 oz. "doses."
In order to make sure that I get all of the water I am supposed to drink in a day, I keep a 2-cup insulated coffee mug on the kitchen counter whenever I am home. Since I am constantly in and out of the kitchen, I am always taking a drink of water. The insulated cup keeps it cold for a few hours at ta time. As soon as I drain it, I enter my 2 cups of water in SparkPeople, and I refill the mug.
