When you are first getting up in the morning or changing after work then is the best time to put on the workout clothes! I find if I put my jeans on after work I tend to NOT workout. That extra step puts the fire out of the motivational spark. Once dressed to workout the mind pushes you to just do it

Some days I find it difficult to motivate myself to go to the gym. Instead of getting dressed in regular clothes to take my daughter to school I put on my gym clothes and shoes (even if it's an hour or two before going). It's harder to talk myself out of going if I've already gotten dressed. I know many people work, so this is not an option but you could make a point to change into your gym clothes before leaving work so you have no excuses on your way home.
I leave myself messages on my bathroom and bedroom mirrors. When I'm getting ready in the morning or getting dressed for the day, it helps to see something motivational to focus on and remind me of what I'm working for and how I'm worth the work. I started with something simple like a quote from W. L. Bateman "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten."
