  • Tips should be adjusted for the rudeness of the patron. I can't take folks who are rude to wait staff - it is a multifaceted and tough position at which to make a living. - by TIBURONA
  • Even though some people are rude I try to give good service to everyone. You never know if they have had a bad day and so if I had a bad day I would try to to show that to other people. It may be deceitful but everyone gets along better. - by HOPE2BE
  • Your choice - by DISTAN
  • Back when I was dating, I wouldn't give a guy a 2nd date or thought, if he wasn't nice to waitstaff or cashiers. If they can't be nice to strangers, I hate to think of how they might treat me.

I was a cashier, and I understand what you're saying. - by BECKYOBRIEN
  • I'm sure you are an excellent waitress. Of course the flip side is tips are based on quality of service. Just a thought! - by DIANE7786
  • So true. I always get good service. I treat the server the way I would want to be treated in their place and tip well. I know it is a difficult job and I shouldn't try to make it any more difficult. - by BGGODDESS
  • I agree! The public can be so rude. - by IMESASSY
