When I use a coupon I put the saved change (the amount of the coupon) in my savings.Places like Krogers put the amount saved on the bottom of the receipt and it helps keep track of the amount to go into the bank.
If you save 3.00 in coupons weekly for 1 year, it's over 150.00 you can play with and use for something else.

I live at a campground from April to October. We tried to do a biggest loser with a weigh in and then you pay $5 every week. At the end of September the top two people would receive the pot. It didn't go over. I decided that I would do it on my own and am still putting away that $5
Clearing all edible items off of everywhere in home. Be it a piece of hard candy, pumpkin seeds, nuts, all grain crackers, bottle/can of juice to put in frig later, when there is room. Removing from sight, sure helps keep it from going between the lips.
