If I have any fruit that is about to go bad like apples, berries, or peaches I like to cook them down with some splenda if they need it. I freeze in small containers and always have fruit to add to my plain yogurt or cottage cheese

  • Good idea - and you can do the same thing with leftover veggies. Add them to soups or as topping for pizza... - by THINMOMMAGN

  • FanTAStic idea! One of my goals is NOT to throw any produce away, so that helps with the fruit. For veggies, I make soups, cut/freeze if necessary & lastly, throw in a baggie in the freezer to save for veggie broth. - by GINGERVISTA

  • What a clever idea. I don't like to waste food, but sometimes leftovers get ahead of the two of us. Thanks for posting. - by GRAMMAP1
