If I have any fruit that is about to go bad like apples, berries, or peaches I like to cook them down with some splenda if they need it. I freeze in small containers and always have fruit to add to my plain yogurt or cottage cheese

Good idea - and you can do the same thing with leftover veggies. Add them to soups or as topping for pizza...

FanTAStic idea! One of my goals is NOT to throw any produce away, so that helps with the fruit. For veggies, I make soups, cut/freeze if necessary & lastly, throw in a baggie in the freezer to save for veggie broth.

What a clever idea. I don't like to waste food, but sometimes leftovers get ahead of the two of us. Thanks for posting.
