I find that when I continue to say no to a certain food that I always end up over eating that food eventually.
So what I do is say yes but I keep it in check. If I am craving chocolate I have a mini candy bar. If I want ice cream I have a 1/2 cut and I measure it.

So when you are truely carving something have a small bit of it and in the long run it will help you from binging on it later on.

    I couldn't agree with you more! I don't understand why so many people have an "all or nothing" attitude about sweets. I made it through 2 months of my daughter selling Girl Scout cookies and never gained. If I wanted one, I would just have ONE, or sometimes TWO, depending on the kind. I didn't have to sit down and eat a whole box, but I didn't have to deprive myself, either.

    Very important NOT to deprive yourself! That was what I feel caused my failures in other diet plans of the past! Be SENSIBLE! Eat smaller portions or cut back on other things that day. Or - keep in mind - EVERY day is a NEW day! You go over on one day, don't sweat it, do better the next!
