Keep Cravings Visible

This Sparked Me!

I have noticed that as long as I keep the things I crave visible they are easier to resist- but the second I clean out all the candy, coookies, etc out of my house, car, office, etc I crave it more and it's all I can think about...but if it's around I don't think about it- or eat it

That's very interesting, 'cuz I am just the opposite. I do NOT keep them in the house, 'cuz then I will eat them, but I will not go to the store to buy them when I crave them. emoticon

I totally agree. I have a really bad sweet tooth and when I remove everything from my house, I almost go into a panic mode and end up buying some at the store and binging. It's almost like I'm afraid I'll never have it again. Right now, I have a glass jar of Dove chocolates in my living room and, since my grandson can't have dairy, I keep some Twizzlers and Skittles in my kitchen drawer so he can have something when his siblings have a treat. I hardly ever touch them. When I do, I measure out my portion and I'm very happy. I feel so much more in control when they are available.

You have much better will power than I do! If I see it, then I must have it! LOL
