When my family orders pizza & a movie on friday nights, I make my own healthily pizza. I use a flat out wrap, fat free pizza sauce, 2% motzorella cheese, turkey pepperoni and lots of veggies! It is very filling & hits the spot. I can enjoy pizza with my family and yet not consume to many calories!

I've learned that cheap pizza coupons seem to save me money, but in the long run they cost me. I bought a Panormous Pizza from Pizza Hut last night for $15. Great deal right? I had a hard time stopping eating. Even if I spread it out over 2 meals, it's going to cost me hours on the treadmill because I wanted to save $$$ on pizza. I wanted to use the coupon.
Last night we were preparing to watch a season finale on netflix. I of course wanted to ring it in with pizza :) I found myself rationalizing that "it wouln't be THAT bad, not like it's going to kill me, it's just one day" then I remembered that I had told John (who is a trainer at my gym) that I would print out my sparkpeople nutrition tracker for him to review on monday and the thought of him reading "6 slices of pepperoni dominos pizza." Having someone hold me accountable really helped!

I went to bed last night, still wishing I'd ate pizza because it still sounded fabulous. To say that I felt like I'd beat the snack monster last night would be a lie. But this morning when I woke up I felt great about it! I am stil on track and that feels great! Oh, and I'm craving pizza :)
When eating pizza I have found that taking clean paper napkins and gently blotting the top of your pizza will wick up a fair amount of oils . The last time I had pizza at our favorite place I used 3 napkins on an 8 inch square pizza. I figure any oil I take off the top of my pizza is that much less oil that I am not taking in.
