Flaxseed oil is good for the heart because it is the richest source of alpha-linolenic acid. Flaxseed itself (ground or whole) also contains lignans, which may have antioxidant actions to help cancer, constipation, hemorrhoids and diverticular disease, reduces inflammation in the joints, kidneys and skin, but also lowers cholesterol levels. If you don't like it...Don't Eat It!!!! Why waste precious calories on stuff that you really don't like. Think like a child and eat only what you like. It won't kill you to leave something on your plate because it's nasty.
