I bought a Vita Mix blender because it makes great peanut butter. I was not a pb fan until Vita Mix, and I don't care for commercial pb. I blend honey roasted peanuts until It is creamy and smooth (and put it in a sealed container). I then make a chocolate chocolate shake for a treat!

I love my Vitamix! I use it almost every day. I'm not at all sorry I got it, but it is a big investment. I have used it to make "green smoothies" in the mornings - added kale or spinach to fruit & protein mix. It really packs a nutritional punch. In theory, you can get in a bunch of fruits & veggies just at breakfast.

I do a morning smoothie with banana, orange, apple, kale or spinach, a carrot & some species of frozen fruit or a fruit blend. I have my veggies & fruit in for the day even if I don't do another thing. Sometimes I'll throw in a few almonds or raw oatmeal. A Blentec is a bit easier to clean but I'm not sure if it's as powerful. Vitamix has a 7 yr warranty, but my aunt's is from the 70's & going strong. I hate to cook, but I love that contraption.

To twints, cant you just replace the blades? I would check with the company, arent they supposed to be warrantied for a long time?

I want one! But I bought an Omega juicer (cause hooked on wheat grass)for $500 6 years ago. I just can't justify getting a new juicer. Trying to sell it for $200-300. When it goes then I will get the Vitamix.

I had one until I blended the clear plastic lid into the smoothie I was making...I didn't have coffee prior to this gaff! Anyway, it's got an amazing motor because It looked just fine until I poured it into a glass and saw little plastic chards popping out of it. The motor still works, but the blades are all messed up so it doesn't blend anymore. It lasted me ten years before this incredibly stupid thing I did. Hoping to get a new one for Christmas.

Its a mixer on steroids. It makes healthy frozen desserts (ice cream) in 30 seconds and boils in 5 minutes. Best thing I ever bought. Not cheap but worth every penny. I use it daily year round. I use it for everything, can't believe what I can do with it. Knock offs don't compare to the Vitamix!
This is a treat. I have a Vitamix, which I love but too much work for a single serving. I use this blender to whip up quick smoothies, chop nuts and general blending. Blades are tough enough to pulverize carrots mixed with orange juice.Yum!
I am loving my Vitamix ! As of late I have been tossing a couple of carrots & an apple into the vita with some water and voila juice! I add all different things in there too ~ cucumber, tomato, parsley, cilantro, beets etc. I can also make a quick soup without ever touching the stove. Most everything is filling and nutritious, a great quick snack, or part of a meal.
